Artists Workshop Literature Gallery

There are a number of directions this gallery can take: At this time, we're considering an anthology of the WORK/1 publications, and in the spirit of the "Artists Workshop Active Anthology," new works of poets and writers should appear here, as well. Of course, all the original Workshop poets (Sinclair, Eichele, Tysh, Semark, Younkins, Harris, etc) should be represented, as well as other active Detroit area poets (Hernandez, Mannisto, Teichman, Mikolowski, etc.). In the old days, we networked with "new American poetry" writers in other cities, to give voice to the fact that there's a vital and dynamic poetry movement going on (not the brainwashed variety as taught in the universities), and we want that representation again (e.g., Ed Sanders -- Ed was very helpful during the 2004 Workshop reunion kickoff). Finally, if we take this to its ultimate conclusion, we should be able to pinpoint writing, publishing and reading opportunities within this network, in the spirit of the original WHERE/1 publication.
